Comprehensive branding, web design, and UI/UX overhaul for an inventory management tech startup.
Luminous is an all-in-one logistics and inventory management solution for growing ecommerce companies, offering a scalable suite of operations tools to help small and midsized businesses expand efficiently and manage their inventory, sales, and supply chain with ease.
I was originally brought on as a designer in 2022 to refresh Luminous's brand identity and positioning as a growing startup. I worked directly with the company's founders to develop a more comprehensive brand look and feel that properly expressed their position as a strong mid-tier ecommerce management system. The new identity was intended to be professional yet engaging, with a bright and friendly presence, in order to differentiate itself from less personable enterprise-level offerings that lacked Luminous's hands-on dedication to its SMB customer base.
After completing this brand refresh, I worked with Luminous's marketing team to redesign their website according to this new brand strategy, giving it a fresh and tech-forward experience without feeling too inaccessible for a midsized ecommerce operator. Along with the site's layouts and overall look and feel, I also created several custom site animations that showcased the product's capabilities in an intuitive way.
On the software side of the company, I collaborated with Luminous's product development team to continuously refine their user interface and experience. We gathered comprehensive feedback from a variety of businesses whose sales, supply, and inventory operations ran on Luminous's system, and used these insights to redesign key tools within the Luminous suite that provided users with an easier and more efficient experience. We also overhauled the Luminous design system to give the web app a more modern and accessible look and feel.
